When fully opened, the bed extends approximately 2400 mm from the wall.
Yes. For safety and stability, the unit should be securely fixed to a suitable wall structure.
Basic fitting information and measurements are supplied to help with installation.
Installation is generally easier with two people due to the size and weight of the components.
Gas struts help reduce lifting effort and allow smoother opening and closing, but the bed still needs to be manually operated.
Mattress compatibility may vary, but many vertical Murphy bed systems work best with standard mattresses up to approximately 200–250 mm thick.
Light bedding such as sheets and blankets can often remain on the bed, depending on thickness and available space.
The kit includes the main lifting mechanism and hardware components required for installation, including gas struts, pivot brackets, support legs, and fixings. Timber, bed panels, mattress, and decorative materials are not included.
